25th Annual Molasses Festival
Saturday, October 13 from 9am-4pm
Admission is $2

Molasses Festival Activities:

Music:  The Dollar Boys, Boone, NC & Sweetbriar Jam formerly known as The Good Ole Boys, Lenoir, NC & Alaina Wallace, Hudson, NC.  Two stages - inside the BBQ (main stage) and outside by the pond (stage 2)

Food
Sims BBQ - Breakfast - Biscuits (molasses, sausage or jelly), drinks, coffee.  Lunch - BBQ sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, Drinks.
Other:  Funnel Cakes, Flavored Ice, Ice Cream, baked goods, cotton candy.

Demonstrations:  Molasses Making (at the mill), Apple Butter & Apple Cider Making both at the main festival area.

Highland Games:  Events at 11am & 2pm

Clogging:  Performances All Day by the Sims Country Cloggers.

Miss Molasses Festival Pageant:  10am & 12pm

Kids Activities:  Hayrides, Inflatables, Face Painting & Airbrush Tatoos, Conrad the Crawdad (11am)

Reenactors/Historical Groups
*OCR Lavinnia S. Wilfong Chapter 12 will be selling flavorings, t-shirts, bumper stickers, etc and will be dressed in 1800's attire.
*Ms. Tessa Wilson will be doing 1860's toy demonstrations.
*SCV Brig. General J. Johnston Pettigrew Camp 1401, Lenoir, NC - will be setting up a camp demonstration.
*The OCR & SCV will fire muskets will be fired randomly throughout the day!  You don't want to miss these folks!
