Carlee's Journal Of Her First Week -

October 29 & 30 - Everything went smoothly at the hospital and mommy, daddy, and baby are all doing great! Big thank you to our friends and family for your love and support and also to Dr. Locklear, Joy, Jessica, & the staff and students at FRMC. We wanted to share some pictures with you that we have taken or our friends have sent us and keep you updated on things.

October 31 - First night at home! It definitely was a spooky Halloween! AJ and I were NOT prepared to be home alone with our little angel! I slept for 2 hrs max and I think AJ got about 3 ½. We are zonked!

November 1 – First Doctor’s appointment - Baby Carlee has lost a little too much weight and needs your prayers! We’re supplementing her feeding too for now to make sure she gets plenty to eat. She’s also jaundice and is getting blanket treatments. She is doing great and we are working through it! 10pm – Not the middle of the night YET but all day has been a complete blessing since our Dr Visit. Carlee has had plenty to eat and plenty of sleep and is doing awesome. Everyone is happy; mom and dad are very content and excited about how things are going. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon!

November 2 – Sunday! Family slept in a little and is doing great! Thank you everyone for the food, prayers, visits, phone calls, and emails! We love you all and Carlee is so blessed to have so many people who care about her and our family!

November 3 – We had a great day today! Took Carlee back to the Dr. and she is gaining weight, billy blanket free, and doing great!! We went and visited Daddy’s work for the first time today – he had a little project to do and we ate lunch there. I finally got to send the clogging studio an email tonight with a link to look at pics of our little angel.

November 4 – Another great day! We had a home visit today with the Lac Consultant and we are great! Carlee’s cord came off, and mommy’s blood pressure is up a little, but we are happy and healthy – Carlee is back up to 8lbs and going up. We have more appts tomorrow.
November 5 – Carlee is one week old! Mommy’s Dr. visit went good but bp is up a little more today! Need to rest mommy!! Overall things are still wonderful and we can’t wait for our 6-8 week “quarantine” to be up so we can take her out into our world! I’ll keep you posted!

November 6-9 – Great day again Thursday! Mommy’s BP is normal and Carlee is doing beautifully – she’s an eater like her parents! Tomorrow we are getting a pic done with Cousin Aden in Hickory and run some errands. Saturday Mommy and Daddy are going to try to go to a friend’s wedding and Aunt Lace is coming over! Then hopefully Aunt Kelly and Uncle Bradley can come see us!!!
I will keep you guys posted but won’t journal more until I do Carlee’s new page. LOVE YA’LL!
